A thigh lift is a surgical procedure designed to remove excess, stretched skin and fat from the thigh area and restore skin firmness. It most commonly becomes necessary after significant weight loss or with advancing age, when excess skin develops that can no longer be eliminated through exercise or diet – this is where the surgery can help.
During the procedure, the surgeon makes an incision on the inner side of the thigh, removes the excess skin and fatty tissue, and then tightens the remaining tissues. The result is a firmer, more shapely thigh that better fits the proportions of the body.
A thigh lift can be performed on its own or combined with liposuction, allowing the contours to be shaped even more naturally. The final result: smoother skin, a more aesthetic shape and a more confident appearance.

We do not recommend surgery if:
- you are actively dieting and your weight is not yet stable,
- you have a more serious internal medical condition or a blood clotting disorder,
- you smoke and cannot stop in the period before surgery,
- you expect an excessive or unrealistic result from the procedure instead of having realistic expectations.

Before a thigh lift, a personal consultation is always required, where we discuss your expectations, your health condition and the course of the surgery. Here we determine precisely which area requires the procedure and to what extent.
Before surgery:
- Medical examinations will be required (blood count, ECG, etc.) to ensure that the procedure can be performed safely.
- Avoid smoking and alcohol consumption in the weeks before surgery, as these can slow wound healing.
- You must inform your doctor if you regularly take medication, especially blood thinners.
- It is important that your weight is stable, as the result of the surgery will be long-lasting only if you are not planning significant weight loss or weight gain.

How a thigh lift is performed
A thigh lift is a surgical procedure that is usually performed under general anaesthesia. The duration of the surgery can be 2–3 hours, depending on the extent of excess skin to be removed.
The surgeon makes an incision on the inner side of the thigh, which later remains in a hidden area, so the scar can be well concealed.
The excess skin and fatty tissue are removed, then the remaining tissues are tightened.
The incision is closed with fine, aesthetic sutures, and a sterile dressing is applied.
If necessary, the procedure is combined with liposuction so that the shape of the thigh becomes more harmonious and natural.
After the surgery, following a short observation period – depending on medical recommendation – a one- to two-day hospital stay is advised. After that, recovery begins quickly at home with rest and by following medical instructions.

After a thigh lift, you may spend one or two nights in our private hospital if needed, where you can rest in a comfortable, high-quality environment and begin recovery under medical supervision.
For one week after surgery, the surgical area must not come into contact with water so that the wounds can heal properly. After the procedure, you will receive special compression garments, which you must wear continuously for six weeks – this helps reduce swelling and supports skin tightening.
Rest is important during the first two weeks: avoid strenuous movement, long walks and spreading the legs. After two weeks, you can gradually return to your usual daily routine, and after three weeks, light physical activity may also be possible.
Solarium, sunbathing and sauna use are not recommended for two months, as they may slow skin regeneration.
The timing of follow-up examinations is determined by your plastic surgeon, who will monitor the healing process in every case. Visible scars heal in about 6 months, while scars under the skin take approximately 2 years to heal completely.
Although we make every effort to identify all risk factors during preoperative examinations, unforeseen complications may rarely occur. Your surgeon will inform you in detail about these and their prevention during the personal consultation.

Az eredmény már a műtétet követően látható, de a végleges forma a duzzanat és a természetes gyógyulási folyamatok lezajlása után, körülbelül 3–6 hónappal alakul ki.
Fájdalmas a combplasztika műtét?
A beavatkozást altatásban végezzük, így a műtét alatt semmit sem érzel. A gyógyulási időszakban enyhe fájdalom és feszítő érzés előfordulhat, de ez fájdalomcsillapítókkal jól kezelhető.
Mennyi ideig kell a szorító ruhát viselni?
A speciális kompressziós ruhát 6 héten keresztül javasolt viselni. Ez segíti a szövetek regenerációját és a végleges forma kialakulását.
Mikor térhetek vissza a mindennapi tevékenységekhez?
A legtöbben 2 hét után fokozatosan visszatérhetnek a normál életvitelhez, 3 hét után pedig a könnyű testmozgás is megengedett.
